Billing keeps track of all the charges and payments created for a patient. Balances are easy to read and are also displayed during check in. You can easily view details of all charges, payments, and the transaction history of how any balances were created. Psykdesk will also track patient credit balances which can either be refunded or applied to future services.
Create payments and refunds
Payments can be of type cash, check, credit/debit card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT). When you create a credit card payment, Psykdesk automatically processes the transaction through your banking system. You can also refund credit card transaction completely or in part with a button click.
Track revenue by provider
Psykdesk applies payments to one or more charges, and since charges are tied to encounters, you can determine how much revenue each of your providers brought in each month. This is helpful to track your providers performance, or to calculate payroll if you are paying based on revenue
Calculated patient and payer responsibility
Patient responsibility is calculated at check in so that you can collect up front. The remainder is tracked as the payer’s responsibility. Tracking these balances separately helps to gain insight into your aged receivables, identifying issues so that you can maximize your revenue.
